I’ve touched on this before so I’ll keep it brief.
I’m a creative led person at heart. I love going with the flow when I’m in that state. But I’ve noticed over the years that I genuinely need structure and routine underneath it, otherwise I procrastinate, lose the thread, and things don’t get finished.
The reason I’m bringing it up is because I want to be as transparent as possible about my process. I try to keep the rough around the edges vibe to SAMPLE SESSIONS rather than a clean edit that makes it look like I pulled this all together effortlessly. So what I feel I need to share is that this one was hard.
I started with a lot of inspiration and momentum. Motivation was high. Then life commitments crept in over the weekend, the structure fell away, and with it went the motivation I’d had at the start.
Every fibre of my being wanted to abandon it and start something new and more exciting.
I didn’t though. And I’m actually looking at that as a win.
I’m still really happy with how it turned out given the circumstances. And more than the song itself, what I’m taking from this is that even when it was tough to find the time, even when I was running on empty, I stayed and finished what I started.
That’s what I love about this series. It’s not just entertainment. It pushes me to be better, faster and more skilled with every video that goes by.
